Tuesday: The Monetary Policy Statement and corresponding Bank of Japan press conference takes place. Like all major press conferences, this can lead to short-term price changes. Also on Tuesday, Manufacturing Production from the United Kingdom will be published. No change is shown on the previous month at (0.3%).
Wednesday: Experts expect the Bank of New Zealand to raise interest rates to a new interest rate of 2.75%, an increase of 0.25 percentage points. Staying down under figures from Australia show that the unemployment figures are slightly down. The Chinese industrial production figures are also expected to sink slightly on Thursday according to forecasts. Staying on Thursday the US Retail sales on the other hand are expected to increase by 0.6 percentage points. After several months of recession, sales seem to have caught on again. Furthermore, the Core Retail Sales for the US increase by 2% for the month.
